About Michelle

I have dedicated my career to creating opportunities for families to live their healthiest lives. I was lucky and found my passion early. Right after I graduated from Wilmington College, I was selected for a Gift of Sight mission to the Philippines and spent two weeks working with a team of optical professionals to provide eye exams and glasses to more than 14,000 people in need. When I returned home, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my career working to create healthier communities.

During my career, I’ve worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes, and Positively Kids. Even though the mission of each organization is different, mine was not: to work diligently to improve the health of every member of our community. It was this drive that motivated me to run for Assembly in 2018 and 2020, and to run for re-election this year.

As your Assemblywoman, I was proud to support legislation that ensures no Nevadan would be charged more for health insurance because of a pre-existing condition, end surprise billing, and establish a maternal mortality review committee so that Nevada’s moms and babies have a healthy start. I look forward to earning your vote to continue being a health care champion in the 2021 session.

My husband, Andy, and I have been married for 20 years and have two teenagers, Hailey and Aaron.
